FAQs.

Commonly asked.

How far do you travel?

I am happy to travel all over the UK. Sometimes it is reasonable to include an overnight stay.

How long will you perform?

Every event is different so it’s important that I can be flexible with my sets but a good guide is 50-60 minutes per set. I can tailor this to your event as afternoon and evening entertainments can be quite different.

*My finishing time will be by prior arrangement with you.

Do you provide music between and before sets?

I can supply music between my live sets and can also play your list if you supply it in advance.

What time will you arrive and set up?

I will liaise with you so that I can arrive before guests, usually around 90 minutes beforehand.

What time should you start playing?

We will discuss this together. Every event is different and I will guide you. It’s often good to have music playing while guests arrive and for me to start singing after guests have demolished a buffet! Again, this is an area where it’s important for me to be flexible and work with caterers or venues staff should things overrun.

What kind of music can we choose?

There are ‘those’ songs that always fill the floor, but I will also tailor my sets to you. I have pop, rock, swing, Motown, and lots in between. Kyle has a song list, but don’t be restricted by it, it’s not definitive, we’re always happy to hear your suggestions!

General.

What kind of events do you entertain for?

I’ve previously sung for family parties in their homes or venue, Corporate do’s , Masonic events, day events for the Police forces and armed forces as well as ceremonial Forces do’s.

Will you learn our first dance, and take requests?

It is my greatest pleasure to learn your first dance for you or help you choose if you haven’t already decided. For other events, I encourage  2 or 3 requests in good time for me to learn them. On the day I will take requests and if it’s in my repertoire I’ll sing it for you!

What equipment do you bring? Do we need to supply anything?

I provide my own PA and lights. All my kit has up-to-date with PAT testing. I also have full public liability insurance. All I require is two power sockets for me to run my PA and lights. I will run everything through an RCD which I provide and a space to set up - you won’t need to build a stage but if there is one I might use it! I’m happy to set up outside but I will need you to provide weather protection for me and my electronic gear, please.

Should I supply your refreshments?

I am often with my clients for 8 to 10 hours so, yes, please! I won't require a five-course meal but a meal set aside for ‘band’ or ‘entertainers’ with soft drinks would be greatly appreciated. No obligation, of course!
